Drag Chain Technology

Among them, two rings of equipment work in exposure mode, and the other two rings are rotation in order not to break the tow chain. A Slip Ring CT Scanner Function

The slip ring mainly has the following functions:

1. Transmit the working voltage to the rotating part of the scan frame for use by the high voltage generator. The data acquisition system and the control unit of the rotating part.
2. Transmit the control signal between the rotating part and the stationary part of the scan frame.
3. Transfer the collected scan data from the rotating part of the scan frame to the stationary part of the scan frame.

Power ring. The power supply ring comprises a DC high-voltage loop and an AC operating voltage loop.
Signal ring. The signal ring provides two-way control signal communication between stationary and rotating part.
Data ring. Data ring for transmitting scan data.

Scan data transfer module

Common faults of slip rings

Communication Faults

The control signal communication the scan frame is interrupted. Resulting in the reset failure of the scan frame or the scan stop. No regular maintenance of the slip ring cause the failure, resulting in poor contact between the signal brush and the signal torus.

Slip ring ignition

The accumulation of toner in the power supply ring. The failure of regular inspection and cleaning of the ring surface. The accumulation of toner in the slip ring brush group. And excessive wear of the brush head will cause ignition. Sometimes resulting in damage to high-voltage components and other circuit components.

The communication of the scan data transmission path is faulty

Cause scanning to stop. Some of these failures are caused by accidental failure of circuit devices. But more common are caused by the failure of regular inspection and cleaning, serious toner accumulation, excessive wear of the torus and brush heads.

Regular maintenance and maintenance of slip rings

The CT slip-ring assembly transmits power and control signals through the contact between the brush head and the torus. Due to the friction between the spring-pressed brush head and the rotating torus, the carbon crushing dust generated by the wear of the brush head accumulates on the torus during use. Therefore, the regular cleaning and inspection of the slip ring and the timely replacement of the brush head worn to the mark line are very important for the stable operation of the CT machine.

1. Clean brush powder, including ring surface cleaning and brush group cleaning.
2. Slip ring track inspection, including power loop and signal loop.
3. Brush head wear check, including power brush and signal brush.

Regular maintenance of the standard slip ring can prevent the accumulation of toner, so as to regularly check the wear degree of the brush head and timely necessary replacement. Ensure the cleanliness of the ring and good contact between the brush head and the ring, prevent communication failures and slip ring ignition. Reduce the frequency of related failures, and extend the service life of related parts.
